Game Book Relays

Game – BOOK RELAYS

Divide players into two teams, with the same number of players in each team.  The first player from each team puts a book on his or her head and makes his way around an obstacle course and back to team member #2.

Every time a book is dropped, 10 seconds are added to that teams score. Touching the book with your hands gains 5 seconds to the teams score.  Have an umpire/time keeper assigned for each team.   Team at the end who completes the course in the shortest time is the winning team.  Have the kids recite the memory verse several times before and between rounds.

Game Blow Cup Relay

Game – BLOW CUP RELAY

In the game blow cup relay make 2 teams of 5 or 6 players each.  Put a hole in the bottom of a paper cup and thread it on a piece of string 15 feet longGive one prepared string to each team.   The string is held taut so the cup can slide, and the paper cup is placed at one end of the string.  The teams line up single file at the end where the paper cup is.  At the signal each player must blow the cup to the other end of the string (with hands behind back), and then push it back to the start for the next player on his team.  The first team whose members all finish, win.

Remember to recite the memory verse several times before the game begins and between games.

Game Blindfolded Pudding Feeding

Game – BLINDFOLDED PUDDING FEEDING

Choose 2 teams of 2 people to come up to the front.  Put a large plastic bag (with hole in top for head) over them to protect their clothes.   Place 2 chairs for each team, one directly behind the other.  Have the children sit in the chairs and then wrap a plastic sheet around their bottom halves to again protect their clothes.  They must sit very close together, one behind the other for this game to work.

Blindfold the person in the back chair.   Put a pudding cup and a spoon into their hands.   On the signal they must feed the person directly ahead of them with the pudding. (Usually pudding goes all over the front person’s face.)   Blow a whistle when the match is over.   The team who empties the pudding cup first and has the cleanest face is the winner.

Everybody’s It Game

Everybody’s It Game for Children’s Ministry

This game is best played in a large room or gymnasium.

This large room game will really burn off the excess energy from the kids. Get the wiggles and giggles out of them before you teach them the Word of God.

The Best Game

The Best Game for Children’s Ministry

Here is a fun icebreaker game.

We did this Sunday and it was a great success.  For the older kids we did “faster scripture finding”.  For the younger kids we did a contest to see who could find picture of Jesus first, or Moses etc.

Children’s Games

Children’s Games for Kids Church

Hi friends I am always on the hunt for games that I can do in kids church.  I like to start out the service with review games especially if I can cover the bible story from the previous week.

Attached is a link for some really good children’s games.  I especially like the one called “Chatter Bee” .  I think I will try it this Sunday.

Have Fun!
