LETS MAKE A DEAL Game

Preparation required:   Obtain 5-10 good prizes (ie:   Bags of chips, chocolate bars etc.)  and 5-10 bad prizes  (ie empty chocolate bar wrapper, empty chip bag, old sneeker etc.)    Put these 10 items int o brown bags and put them in random order on a table. Do not let the children see the items or it will ruin the fun.

Divide class into 2 teams (usually boys vs. girls works well).  When a child is asked a question, they are given a small candy to hold.   If they answer correctly their team gets 100 points.     After answering the question the child may trade their small candy for one of the items hidden under the boxes.   If they pick a box that has a good prize, cheer and jump for joy.   If they pick a box that has a useless prize, yell GONG and pretend to cry.  The child then hands over their small candy and receives the useless prize.
