Game Chewing Gum Races

Game – CHEWING GUM RACES

Supplies Needed:   Sticks of chewing gum, work gloves, and shopping bags.  Individually wrapped sticks of gum are placed inside the shopping bags (at least one stick per player).   2 or 3 shopping bags are placed at a goal 20 feet away from the starting line.  Choose 2 or 3 children and give each of them a pair of work gloves.   Have the children recite the memory verse.  Say “On your mark, get set go!”  The children then put on the gloves, run down to their bag, pull out a piece of gum, unwrap it with the gloves on, chew.  The first child to get the gum into their mouth and chewed is the winner.   You may want to have a championship round.   Remember to repeat the memory verse several times between each race.

Craft for Mother’s Day

Here is a link to a craft idea for Mother’s Day.  Kids love popsicle sticks and they do make pretty flower pots when painted.

Game Book Relays

Game – BOOK RELAYS

Divide players into two teams, with the same number of players in each team.  The first player from each team puts a book on his or her head and makes his way around an obstacle course and back to team member #2.

Every time a book is dropped, 10 seconds are added to that teams score. Touching the book with your hands gains 5 seconds to the teams score.  Have an umpire/time keeper assigned for each team.   Team at the end who completes the course in the shortest time is the winning team.  Have the kids recite the memory verse several times before and between rounds.

Everybody’s It Game

Everybody’s It Game for Children’s Ministry

This game is best played in a large room or gymnasium.

This large room game will really burn off the excess energy from the kids. Get the wiggles and giggles out of them before you teach them the Word of God.

The Best Game

The Best Game for Children’s Ministry

Here is a fun icebreaker game.

We did this Sunday and it was a great success.  For the older kids we did “faster scripture finding”.  For the younger kids we did a contest to see who could find picture of Jesus first, or Moses etc.

Children’s Games

Children’s Games for Kids Church

Hi friends I am always on the hunt for games that I can do in kids church.  I like to start out the service with review games especially if I can cover the bible story from the previous week.

Attached is a link for some really good children’s games.  I especially like the one called “Chatter Bee” .  I think I will try it this Sunday.

Have Fun!
